| was born in Cologne. At the age of sixteen she began her studies at Musikhochschule Köln with Prof. Igor Ozim. During this time she also visited numerous International Master Classes held by Salvatore Accardo, Wolfgang Marschner as well as a master class about contemporary music at the well-known "Tage der Neuen Musik Darmstadt" presented by Igor Ozim. For many years Christiane Hutcap took chamber music lessons from Prof. Günther Kehr at Musikhochschule Köln. She has great experience playing in various chamber music ensembles from piano trio to octet. As a soloist she plays together with piano duo partners and orchestras. At a very young age she took interest in teaching. In 1984 Hutcap became "head of strings" at a major music school near Cologne. For many years she also was the assistant of Igor Ozims at Musikhochschule Köln. In 1994 she received her professorship at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock where she teaches her own violin class. In 1998 she also founded the chamber orchestra camerata rostochiensis. The members of the ensemble are violin students of her own and students of the viola-, violoncello- and double bass-professors of the HMT Rostock. Christiane Hutcap is member of camerata rostochiensis as one of the viola players. Many of her students are very successful in playing concerts, getting prizes and scholarships from International Violin Competitions and Foundations. Christiane Hutcap gives International Master Classes for Violin in Germany (Haus Marteau/Bezirk Oberfranken, Weimar), Indonesia and Slovenia. | |
